What is meant by ink cartridges?

All cartridges from inkjet printers and laser printers.

What is allowed in the container?

Here is a list of acceptable inkjet cartridges and a list of toner cartridges. Compensation is only applicable in cases of original, not previously recycled, cartridges.

What is not allowed in the container?

Absolutely no printer ribbons and empty drum assemblies. These should be taken to a local recycling/sorting depot. If these were to be present, then related waste disposal expenses would are applied to your bottom line. For any printer ribbons and drum assemblies we encounter, 35.00 Euro inclusive will be charged.

What may be put in the roller container?

  • All electrical and electronic appliances with a plug or working on batteries.
  • Both working and not working appliances (protect working appliances against damage!).
  • Both industrial and domestic appliances.
  • Batteries.
  • Toner and ink cartridges.
  • Electrical cables and leads.
  • Cardboard box in which you can put smaller items such as mobile phones, shavers, IPods, PDAs, cameras, batteries, cartridges, hard discs, etc.

What may not be put in the roller container?

  • Appliances holding PCB-containing oil.
  • Appliances containing oils or fats that could leak during transport (e.g. fat fryers).
  • Appliances containing radioactive substances.
  • Sharp objects that could injure persons (e.g. a blade from an electric kitchen knife).
  • Waste not in the WEEE category (e.g. residual waste, vegetable waste, plastic, metal and drink cartons, etc..

The total weight in the roller container may never be greater than 500 kg.

Is delivery and collection of the roller container free?

The delivery of an empty roller container or the pick up of a full roller container will be charged at 27 Euro.

How long may I use the roller container?

One may use the roller container for as long as required. However, from the 15th day rental of 2 Euro per started day is charged. The least expensive way is therefore to first save up your equipment and only then order the roller container.

Can a private individual order a roller container?

Only organisations with a VAT number can order a roller container.

I have too much material for one roller container!

If you have too much material for one roller container just order as many as you think you will require. You can also ask for industrial pallet boxes or 38m³ skip containers using the contact form.

Is my full roller container automatically collected within 14 days?

Your roller container is collected if you have registered as "full" using the web site. Remember that you start to pay rental from the 15th started day.

What is actually done with the empty cartridges?

They are inspected for usability, cleaned, refilled and returned to the market at a noticeably lower price than original ones. The quality is comparable to that of an original cartridge.

Can all corporations and schools participate?

Naturally. The number of collected cartridges is not limited by the size of your school, only dependant on the inventiveness of your students.

What is the cost for our school to participate in this project?

Absolutely nothing. There is only profit in it for you.

When are the containers collected?

As soon as you wish. The container would have to be full of course. You would inform us by e-mail, fax us or give us a call. Within 3 days we collect the container and replace it with a new one.

How do we know the revenue for the good cause?

We refer to the good cause balance at least four times per year on our own website.

How do we know the revenue for our school?

After every collection you receive a detailed list showing all cartridges that were collected and the corresponding earned amounts.

How can we motivate students?

Creativity is key here. Suggest a fun project that could be financed in this manner.

Should the cartridges be repackaged in their original packaging?

Yes. While not required, the original packaging offers extra protection. This results in fewer cartridges being rejected on our end.

What happens to cartridges that do not appear on the list?

The list is nearly complete and is being updated regularly. Should your given type not be listed, then we determine if compensation ought to be applicable in your case.
